Lonely

To many thoughts...

To many lonely night

To many hurts...

Alcohol loosens the tongue.

Words get spoken,

that would normally not.

Another heart hurt.

The words are an arrow.

The truth pierces.

Tears course down....

Seeking, searching...

Will I ever find...

the light I seek,

the soul to share....

I like this. I've had a period just a couple of months ago where I spent many a night in this state.

Keep the faith Barbara. Your prince will come for you. I love that poem but it makes me sad.

We all seek the source of tears, that we may quench the fire with love's soothing breeze. This was beautiful, Barb. You're doing just fine. Keep doing what you just did, each line building the idea. Take care, friend

If I had a time machine, I think I would tell myself not to drink at key moments in life. Just jump back and leave a note, "Don't drink tonight, trust me." Oh well, making up is hard to do.
